报告题目:Size effects and interfaces in the multifunctional nanocomposite materials
报告摘要:Additives and fillers are organic or inorganic compounds introduced into a matrix in order to change its properties. Composites are heterogeneous or hybrid materials that, when combined, exhibit significantly different properties than the bulk. Nanocomposites differ from conventional composites by the nanoscale size of the filler phase and the extremely high surface-to-volume ratio of this phase. In this talk, various configurations especially a new kind of hybrid nano/micro reinforcements are presented: from their synthesis, characterization to their associated advantages. Another important issue is the interface between the fillers and the matrix with corresponding contact problem.
报告人简介:Jinbo Bai received his Bachelor degree of Metal forming in 1982 and Master degree of Solid Mechanics from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1985 and Doctor degree of Science of Materials from Ecole Centrale Paris in 1991. He was lecturer of Mechanics of Materials in Northwestern Polytechnic University 1985-1987 and CNRS Researcher then Director of research at Lab. MSSMAT, UMR8579 of Ecole Centrale Paris since 1991. His research interest cover from nuclear materials Zr&Ti, hydrogen storage and embrittlement, composites materials, micromechanical modelling, finite element simulations, carbon nanomaterials, nano/microcomposites, nano electrical and thermal contact, nano/micro hybrid fillers, heat management, energy storage, transport and energy harvesting, and plastic upcycling.
